Estonian Defence Week 2026: The Second Edition
Starting on Monday 21.09.2026, Estonian Defence Week will bring together 4000 domestic and international defense experts and companies over five days to discuss and address pressing security challenges, as well as showcase the latest defense industry solutions.
The week opens with Innovation Day, which will feature leaders from defence, technology and investment and highlight startup pitches focused on dual-use capabilities shaping security across NATO and beyond.
The Estonian Defence Industry Symposium on 22 September will host defence industry experts and policy makers from more than 30 countries.
The Baltic Defence Conference (ABCD) on 22–23 September will examine transatlantic, European, and regional defence issues with policymakers, military officials, academics, and analysts.
The central event of EDW is the Tallinn Defence Exhibition (22–25 September), featuring more than 100 leading companies from Estonia and abroad and enabling direct engagement between suppliers, investors, and public-sector stakeholders.
The programme will also include the NATO Open Innovation Challenge (OIC), which will take place on 24 September and invite startups, researchers, and industry actors from Allied member states to develop practical, rapidly deployable solutions to defined defence and security challenges.
The week concludes on Friday, 25 September, with hackathons and side events focused on developing practical security and defence solutions.

Defence Innovation Day 2026
Defence Innovation Day 2026 brings together leaders from defence, technology and investment to explore how innovation strengthens security across NATO and beyond, with a strong focus on national resilience, internal security and dual-use technologies. The programme features startup pitches, keynotes and panels connecting end-users and investors, addressing pathways from product development to real-world deployment. Organised by Tehnopol through the NATO DIANA Estonian Accelerator, the event supports defence and dual-use companies in attracting investment, validating solutions and reaching operational users.
Symposium 2026
The Estonian Defence Industry Symposium brings together defence industry experts and policymakers from over 30 countries.
Under the theme “Next in Defence: Autonomy, Space & Industrial Readiness” the event focuses on three priorities shaping Europe’s defence readiness:
A) Autonomy and AI: From Prototype to Solution
B) Space as a Defence Capability Layer: ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance), Communications, PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Timing), Situational Awareness
C) Defence Industry Readiness: Demand, Investments, Cooperatio
Annual Baltic Conference on Defence 2026
The week continues with the Baltic Defence Conference (ABCD), held for the 20th time, which gathers policymakers, military officials, academics, analysts, and media representatives to discuss defense issues concerning transatlantic relations, Europe, and the region.
