A new era of transatlantic collaboration is emerging. One defined not by intent, but by execution.

Across Europe and around the world, Lockheed Martin is advancing allied security through strategic investments and industrial partnerships. By expanding production capacity, strengthening regional sustainment and accelerating the delivery of critical missile defense capabilities, Lockheed Martin is building a more resilient defense industrial base and redefining what it means to be a global partner.

Investing in NATO’s Future 

During the 2026 NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum in Ankara, Türkiye, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden signed a joint statement of intent to explore a PAC-3® Missile Maintenance Facility in Europe.

The proposed facility would strengthen NATO’s integrated air and missile defense posture by enabling in-region sustainment, recertification and repair—keeping PAC-3 missiles ready, reliable and rapidly deployable.

Building on this momentum, Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall also signed a memorandum of understanding, with the support of the U.S. and German governments, to advance plans for the first European center of excellence for the manufacturing, integration and distribution of ATACMS across NATO and allied European forces. 

These initiatives reflect a shared recognition: deterrence depends not only on capability, but on speed, readiness and industrial partnerships. 

We have heard the demand—and we are acting

Demand across Europe and among global allies continues to accelerate. Lockheed Martin is responding by investing to expand production capacity across key portfolios, including Tactical Missiles and Integrated Air and Missile Defence.

Lockheed Martin is working with customers to accelerate the delivery of critical capabilities. Through significant investment in a build-ahead program for the combat-proven HIMARS®, the company can fast-track a portion of a customer's launcher requirement, enabling earlier fielding of an initial operational capability and delivering launchers ahead of traditional production schedules.

Lockheed Martin is also advancing a more resilient European industrial footprint, including expansion of the PAC-3 network. Recently introduced at the Farnborough International Airshow, the PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (PAC-3 ACE™) is a low-cost interceptor designed to defeat a wide range of air and missile threats for less than half the cost of a PAC-3 MSE per unit.

PAC-3 ACE will give allied forces a rapidly fielded, complementary air defense effector option that can be deployed in record time. To achieve this, Lockheed Martin will collaborate with American and European industry partners and suppliers, strengthening the resilience of the shared defense industrial base. Joint development and production with European partners create a common, interoperable interceptor capability that strengthens transatlantic defense posture.

Strengthening Readiness Across the Baltic Region

Earlier this year, Lockheed Martin announced a partnership with Estonia’s Ministry of Defence to establish a HIMARS sustainment capability that will strengthen national security and provide critical sustainment support for HIMARS operators across the Baltic region. The sustainment capability will enhance regional readiness by improving maintenance, reducing turnaround times and increasing operational availability for Estonia and its Baltic allies. This partnership reflects Lockheed Martin’s long-term commitment to supporting Estonia’s defense modernization while strengthening regional security and creating opportunities for future industrial collaboration.

This summer, together with Finnish technology company Insta, Lockheed Martin announced the establishment of Europe’s first sustainment center for the M270A2 and HIMARS Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Common Fire Control System (CFCS) at Insta’s facility in Tampere, Finland. The center will provide Europe’s first dedicated MLRS fire control system maintenance and sustainment capability, strengthening national expertise, security of supply and the ability to ensure system availability throughout its lifecycle.

And finally, this spring, during an unveiling of Lithuania’s inaugural HIMARS launchers, Lockheed Martin signed a joint statement with Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence to deepen cooperation and expand security, defense and industrial opportunities. 

These efforts reflect Lockheed Martin’s commitment to strengthening regional readiness through European partnerships.

Supply Chain Expansion for Sustained Readiness

A resilient supply chain is a strategic advantage. By investing in suppliers, manufacturing capacity and industrial partnerships, Lockheed Martin is expanding production and strengthening resilience. These investments help deliver critical capabilities at the speed today's security environment demands.

Across Europe, Lockheed Martin has strengthened the PAC-3 MSE industrial base through expanded component production in Spain with Grupo Oesía and Sener and increased supply chain capacity in Germany through an agreement with Diehl Defence. Long-standing partnerships with leading Polish defense firms further reinforce regional security while driving engineering jobs, technology transfer, workforce development and a more resilient global PAC-3 MSE supply chain.

This shift is already underway. Allies are moving from intent to execution, building the industrial strength needed to sustain deterrence in highly contested environments. Lockheed Martin continues to advance this effort through European partnerships that turn readiness into reality.
