Peter Sarlin

Peter Sarlin is the Founder and Chairman of Foundation PS and PostScriptum, the cradle of NestAI, Qutwo and Silo AI. He is also Professor of Practice at Aalto University, specializing in machine learning and AI, and served as Co-Founder & CEO of Silo AI, acquired by AMD in Europe’s largest AI acquisition in 2024.

PostScriptum is Peter’s founder’s office, focused on building and investing in AI-first companies for the long term. Foundation PS supports AI research excellence in Finland and Europe through endowed professorships, including 13 professorships at the ELLIS Institute Finland. NestAI builds physical AI for Europe’s security, and Qutwo is a next-gen AI lab for the quantum era.

With a PhD in machine learning, he has a rich academic background that spans roles as a tenured professor, visiting professor and research associate at institutions like the Imperial College London, London School of Economics, University of Technology Sydney, and Goethe University Frankfurt. Peter’s expertise is further recognized by his former roles as Vice Chair of the IEEE Computational Finance and Economics Technical Committee and the IEEE Analytics and Risk Technical Committee. His professional journey also includes tenures at the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund, among others.
